Take the scroll to Fanzen San the Translator in Hebian-to at 39.2S 81.6E. This will give you 3 points towards Magic Defense skill. It's a good idea to save it for the last 3 points. For specialized it'll cost around 279 million xp for the 3rd to last point. For trained it's around 263.7 million xp. Note: these numbers might be off a bit.
