In order to complete this quest you will have to get a High Acolyte Skull. In order to get the Skull you can complete the Soul Fearing quest. Once you have the skull take it to Li Ae-Rae at at 75.9S 57.3E. Give him the skull and he will give you a Golden Key with 3 uses, Le-Ai Rea's Key for the Mines of Despair (75.4S 57.3E) and 12,000 xp.

Skull of High Acolyte Value: 0 p 10 burden units The skull of the High Acolyte is covered with moss and green slime. Even so, it looks pretty unique and is probably worth something to someone. You can trade this skull in for experience through Ivory Crafters and it will be shared within your fellowship.

Golden Key Value: 100 p 10 burden units Key used to enter the Mines of Despair. Uses: 3

Le-Ai Rea's Key Value: 100 p 10 burden units The final key to the Mines of Despair. It is radiating a strange yellow glow. Uses: 1

The tricky part for the Mines of Despire is the two doors you will have to by pass. You will need someone with lockpick skill to open the silver doors where the buttons for these doors. If the person who is going to push the buttons are fast and ties to Mines of Despire he/she can catch up to the group. Everyone go through the first door directly ahead which is opened with the Golden Key.

Lever team:

• Make a left at the T and hang left to the iron door.
• Pick this lock and make a right follow by a left heading East.
• Make another right then hang left pass the next intersection.
• The button to the first door is in the little room to your right.
• Exit out of the room and jump down the pit to your right.
• Hang left to the next room room with a button to your left.
• Recall out and follow the path of the Stone team.

Stone team:

• Make a right at the T and down to the next level.
• Hang right to the first door.
• Right to the next room and wait for the door to open.
• Continue heading forward (East) to the room with the Lich Overseer.
• Kill it and loot the white Focusing Stone.
• Use the Le-Ai Rea's Key on the silver door once everyone got their stone.

Focusing Stone Value: 3000 p 10 burden units A small stone with strange markings on the side. The Focusing Stone cannot be used in its current state.

Enter the portal to Beyond the Mines of Despair and you will come face to face with some Decaying Warriors along the way. Remember to have acid protection on.

• When come upon a bridge you will have to jump down to the lava instead of crossing the bridge.
• The lava won't do any damage to you but the Unstable Magma Golem will. Hug the wall to avoid trigger them to spawn.
• Continue heading forward avoiding side rooms to get to the Vortex.
• Double click on the Focusing Stone then target the Vortex.
• Wait a minute or two for the Vortex to recharge if it gets dim.

Once you get your focusing stone completed just pop in a mana stone or two and you can start showing it off. ;P It's no drop/give. The Brilliance spell is unusual - the mana required to cast this spell is determined by the caster's mana conversion skill and it can be anywhere from a thousand plus to few thousand mana.
