This quest will get you a katar that has black smokes coming from it along with a lightning dagger. To begin you'll have to keep killing Ash Gromnies till you find an Ash Gromnie Tooth. Take this to the Ivory Crafter at Zaikhal (because you need to go to Zaikhal after turning in the tooth) for your Ash Tooth Dagger and the Introduction to Devana. You'll have to let the Ivory Crafter exam the Ash Tooth Dagger in order to get the Introduction to Devana. Take the letter to Devana bint Hamudi at 12.9N 0.4E. She'll give you a key and a note to be delivered to her father.

Your next stop is to visit Hamud ibn Rafik in the Mountain Fortress at 82.4S 19.9E. The closest town to the dungeon is Qalaba'r. This place is infested by Zefirs and Shadows.

• Once you're inside the dungeon take the East hall to exit the room and make a left left after exiting the 2nd room.
• Make a right at the second intersection.
• When you're at a T intersection facing West make another right and go through the wooden doors.
• Keep heading forward through the wiggly corridor.
• At the next intersection while facting North make a left turn.
• Make a right and keep hanging left will take you to a set of locked door.
• Use the key from Devana on it and Hamud is behind the 2nd set of door.
• He will give you a key in return for Devana's Note.

Time to get Hamud the dagger he asks for. Head out to the Empyrean Foundry at 25.1S 54.1E which is close to Sawato. This place is packed with mosswarts and sclavus. Head to the door by making a left turn at the first intersection. Use the key from Hamud to gain access. In here you'll notice quite a few set of doors along with 2 levers in the middle of the room.

• Pull the left lever in the middle of the room.
• Go through the set of door that's now open and pull the lever to right.
• Go through the next set of door and pull the left lever.
• Pull the lever in the middle in the next room.
• Pull the lever in the middle in the last room and go through the set of door to the East.
• Pulling the middle lever on the wall triggers the next set of door.
• Go through the door and make a left then follow by a right turn.
• Keep going till you're at an intersection and make a right turn follow by a left.
• This will take you into the room with the Ancient Dagger on the floor.

Take the Ancient Dagger and bring it to Hamud. In return he'll give you Hamud's Pyreal Katar along with Hamud's Last Testament. Bring the letter to Devana and she'll give you the Oswald's Dagger. Oswald's Dagger can be drop/given to others.
