In order to begin this quest, head to Zaikhal. Outside the Scribe and Translator's building there is an NPC named Ecorto the Lost Director that looks like a Virindi. Talk to him and you'll receive Ecorto's Chisel, which you will need to use obtain three different slivers of singular material to form a Fragment of the New Singularity.

Note: Your chisel will most likely break once you use it once or twice. If it does, you can obtain one 12 hours after you received your first one from Ecorto.

The first dungeon you'll need to visit is the Singular Pyreal Repository (levels 24+) located at 4.2S 8.9E. The quickest shortcut to get there is through taking the Return of Mu-miyah portal from Samsur's Settlement Portals at 1.1S 18.9E and running the rest of the way. Once inside, prepare for low level monsters like Dolls and Drudge Raveners. The dungeon is fairly easy to navigate; just keep moving forward and you're on the right track. Upon reaching the end of the dungeon, you will see a monster called the Singular Doll and several Singular Pyreal Pillars; kill the Doll if you want the Doll Leader's Charm, but don't forget to use your chisel on one of the Pillars to obtain your Sliver of Singular Pyreal.

The second dungeon is called the Singular Chorizite Repository (levels 35+) and is located at 77.3S 51.6E. The fastest way to get there is to head to Mayoi's Settlement Portals and take the Lugian Meadows Settlement Portal at 60.8S 80.4E. Once you go in, prepare to fight lots of Raiders (Hollow Lugians) and a few Virindi Servants and Masters. Make your way through this pretty straightforward dungeon until you reach a room with a Lugian named the Singular Lugian Warlord. Proceed with caution; this room can cut down even the highest level characters in a few seconds. If you want a Lugian Warlord's Scepter, kill him, but once again, don't forget to get your Sliver of Singular Chorizite from the pillars in the room behind him.

The third and final dungeon, the Singular Obsidian Repository (levels 55+), is at 55.9S 64.8W. It can be reached quickly if you have a Shendolain Vestibule portal or an Obsidian Plains Black Spawn Den portal; if not, a portal to the Inculcation Cells or other such places will also do, you'll just need to run farther. Enter and buff for several types of Virindi, some Hollows, Tuskers (up to Rampagers). Like the other dungeons, it is difficult to lose your way if as long as you keep heading forward. Once you reach the end, prepare for many Tusker Guards and Rampagers, several Virindi Masters, a couple Hollows, and a special Virindi Director (Singular Virindi Director) that drops a unique Virindi Mask--almost all of which is on a 30 second spawn. Hurry through and grab your Sliver of Singular Obsidian and recall.

Once you have all 3 Slivers, combine the Pyreal and Chorizite ones to form a Singularity Calyx. Then, combine the Singularity Calyx with your Sliver of Singular Obsidian to form a Fragment of the New Singularity.

Head back to Ecorto the Lost Director in Zaikhal where you got your chisels with your Fragment of the New Singularity. Before handing it over, you should know that the portal he summons can also double as a staging point for a great spot to hunt on the Singularity Caul with little human contact, so prepare your portal ties and call for others that also find the portal useful. The portal he summons can be tied to, but not summoned by a player.

Enter the portal Ecorto summons and prepare to fight some high level Virindi, Rampagers, and Hollows. Keep fighting your way North until you reach a large room with Rampagers, Terebrous Hollow Minions, Virindi Executors, and a New Singularity Director on a fast spawn. Note: It isn't recommended to attempt this part of the dungeon alone without significantly high melee defense, magic defense, and good armor.

The New Singuarlity Director drops the Virindi Shroud, a robe that looks like the material that the Virindi are covered in.
